BBC & THE OPEN UNIVERSITY- MHAW2020
For Mental health awareness week, I was commissioned to create 2 illustrations in response to this years theme of kindness. The aim was to uplift and help viewers through this particularly challenging time.
THE VIEW MAGAZINE- #INCARCERATIONNATION
The View Magazine is written by women, for women in the criminal justice system. I was commissioned to create 4 illustrations for their summer issue. This series depicts the anxiety and emotional pain that women in prison are feeling during this crisis. The first piece, 'Bleeding Heart' was auctioned off and purchased by The National Justice Museum. It also became the front cover of the magazine.
BBC- Noughts + Crosses
I was commissioned to create 3 illustrations for the 6 part adaptation of Malorie Blackman's best selling novel Noughts + crosses. The pieces needed to incorporate the themes, look and vibrancy of the show. I created illustrations of the main characters: Sephy, Callum and Jasmine, using African inspired prints to bring them to life. The artwork was used across BBC and BBC One's social media.
